About Maria G Shandrew.
My name is Maria Shandrew, I grew up in a large family in Sonora State, Northern Mexico. My father and mother ran a family business for many years. My father always thought that we needed to go to college in order to be someone in life.
But my passion had always been to do skin care along with the love of cooking. I never thought that I would have a chance to do any of these. I went to college for five years and became a certified Public Accountant. I had my first and only child in 1997, a beautiful little girl whom I named Aremi. Then in 2001 I met my husband Bob Shandrew, and we got married September 22 of 2001. I moved to California speaking very basic English (my accent is still there) and found out that this country offers so many great opportunities to succeed and also pursue your dreams.
My first step was the ESL School. In 2003, I decided to pursue my dream of becoming a Skin Care Therapist, and graduated from Paris Beauty College in Concord, Ca. Ever since then, I have been building up my career little by little. Not an easy task, yet very exciting. I had received the satisfaction from seeing great changes in people's skin conditions. I love the opportunity of helping people to release stress from their daily living, and helping them experience relaxation, not just for the body, but also for the main and spirit. This makes me feel so thankful for my job, and I hope to keep making changes in people's skin and spirit for many years to come...
